I get a lot of calls about giant pumpkins seeds.  Usually the atlantic giant seeds you buy in the store are typically open pollinated.  What does open pollination mean?  Open pollination is anytime the flowers are left open for bees to pollinate at free will.  Often times cross pollination with other varieties can happen resulting in unknown genetics.  I do sell a few seeds, I keep certain varieties for my seed stock each year and they can be bought in our shop.  I tend to cross and control the pollination of desirable genetics each year.  Although I don’t always push pumpkins to their max the seeds do contain the potential to grow 1,000 pound pumpkins and larger.  Most that comes down to how you manage your soil and growing practices.

If you look into buying certain genetics one seed can bring anywhere from $20- Several hundred dollars.  The seeds I sell are out of pumpkins that sometimes have cost us hundreds of dollars to get.  We put a pack together with free shipping for $20
