All pumpkins bigger than 400 pounds will need a forklift onsite to lift off the trailer. Less than 400 hundred pounds, a few extra hands are needed to lift the pallet off.
If you are having a professional carver carve your pumpkin, general rule of thumb is it takes about an hour to carve per 100 pounds of pumpkin (for most carvers). For most one-time parties, a 400 to 500 pound pumpkin is adequate.
